EYC Junior Sail... Learning the Art of Sail

Etobicoke Yacht Club established a not-for-profit Junior Sail Program (JSP) in 2000 exclusively to promote the sport of sailing for youth in our community. The Program operates from a dedicated sail training facility on the EYC grounds and in sheltered Humber Bay. Open to Club and non-Club youth between 7-17, our EYC Junior Sail Program (JSP) offers absolute beginners and experienced sailors alike the opportunity to develop their skills. All our coaches and instructors are nationally certified and insured by Sail Canada and Ontario Sailing to deliver the nationally accredited CANSail curriculum. Our highly motivated staff is dedicated to share the love of sailing and to get out on the water with the participants when needed. Spaces are limited, so be sure to register early.

Volunteers Needed

Junior sail program is in full swing and organizers are already planning the Hans Fight Youth Regatta on August 20th and 21st as well as the JSP Awards, Banquet and Fundraiser on Friday, August 22nd, 2025.

Both these events draw quite a bit of attention to our club and bring large numbers of visitors to EYC. Members of other clubs, their families and friends. Both events need a large group of volunteers to help EYC make these events go smoothly for our staff, attendees, members and guests.

We are asking for volunteers and everyone's help. If you are approaching the end of a summer season and need volunteer hours these two events are a perfect way to complete your volunteer hours quota for the year 2025. If you are new to EYC - volunteering is a great way to meet members, make new friends and truly become an EYC member.

Please take a minute to complete this short form if you can volunteer for the JSP regatta or the Fundraiser.

Thank you!
