Membership Opportunities

Senior Member privileges include:

  • Full use of club facilities.
  • Participate in all club activities and social events.
  • Voting right at Annual or Special Membership Meetings.
  • Entitled to hold office.
  • Priority dock allocation consideration.
  • Spouse and children under 18 years old have full use of the Club’s facilities.
  • Share in any distribution of Club assets.

Requirements:

  • Sailboats must be under 45’ LOA and Powerboats must be under 38’ LOA.
  • Must be 18 years old.
  • 30 work hours per year.
  • Senior members are required to pay an initiation fee, plus purchase a non-interest bearing Club Debenture.
  • Only senior members are allowed to bring a keel boat into the Club and upon being allocated an assigned dock, senior members must also purchase a Dock Debenture and a Launch Haul Out Debenture.
  • All debentures are redeemable after a member resigns from the Club.

Please Note: A 2025 Capital Assessment fee of $330.00 is charged to all Senior members and is included in the Annual Dues.  All Annual Dues and fees are subject to 13% HST.

The Club Debenture may be paid over two years in eight quarterly installments of $555.25, which includes HST and a $600 surcharge.

Junior Membership

  • Full use of club facilities.
  • May participate in all club activities and social events (may be subject to age restrictions when under 18).
  • Membership option for ages up to 21.
  • May apply to bring a DrySail dinghy/multihull to the Club subject to boat storage fees.
  • Does not pay initiation fee or purchase debenture, but are required to provide a refundable security deposit.
  • Work hours required as determined by the Board – currently 10 hours.

Intermediate Membership

  • Full use of club facilities.
  • May participate in all club activities and social events.
  • Membership option for ages 22 to 35 years old.
  • May apply to bring a DrySail keel or Dry Sail dinghy/multihull to the Club subject to boat storage fees.
  • Does not pay initiation fee or purchase debenture, but are required to provide a refundable security deposit.
  • Work hours required as determined by the Board – currently 30 hours.

Dry Sail Membership

  • DrySail Membership is considered full Senior Membership in EYC.

 Member privileges include:

  • Full use of club facilities.
  • Participation in all club activities and social events.
  • Voting right at Annual or Special Membership Meetings.
  • Entitled to hold office.
  • Spouse and children under 18 years old have full use of the Club’s facilities.
  • Share in any distribution of Club assets.

Requirements:

  • Must be 18 years old.
  • Work hours required as determined by the Board – currently 30 hours.
  • Senior members are required to pay an initiation fee, plus purchase a non-interest bearing Club Debenture.
  • All debentures are redeemable after a member resigns from the Club.
  • Senior DrySail members are permitted bring a DrySail keel boat or other DrySail boat into the Club.
  • Boat storage fee will apply.

Junior Membership (under 22 years of age), includes $85.00 capital assessment) $191.03/yr
Intermediate Membership (22-28 years of age), includes $85.00 capital assessment) $358.47/yr
Intermediate Membership (29-35 years of age), includes $85.00 capital assessment) $469.45/yr


2025 Storage Fees:

Keel boat storage $409.64/yr
Large dinghies & cats (>16 ft) $258.96/yr
Small dinghies & cats (≤ 16 ft) $194.22/yr

Club Debenture (refundable) $3400.00
Initiation Fee $2400.00
Refundable security deposit $500.00

Crew Membership

Member privileges include:

  • Use of club facilities.
  • Participate in all club activities and social events.
  • A Crew member is allowed to keep one kayak or one SUP on the storage racks, on a space available basis. The cost for storage is $50.00 per season (summer/winter).

Requirements:

  • Must be 18 years old.
  • As a Crew member you are required to provide 10 volunteer hours.

Social Membership

 Member privileges include:

  • Use of club facilities.
  • Participate in all club activities and social events.
  • A Social member is allowed to keep one kayak or one SUP on the storage racks, on a space available basis. The cost for storage is $50.00 per season (summer/winter).

Requirements:

  • Must be 18 years old.
  • As a Social member you are required to provide 10 volunteer hours.

Annual dues: $460.03/yr plus HST

NOTE: All fees, including debentures, are subject to 13% HST.  There is a $85.00 Capital Assessment fee included.
